Opera-singing prodigy Jackie Evancho has released her first official music video!
Seventhecho has the exclusive first look at 10-year-old America’s Got Talent main star Jackie Evancho’s music video for “Silent Night,” the latest release from her Christmas holiday album, O Holy Night.
Album O Holy night surprised the music world by selling around 240,000 copies during its first week in release and debuting at No. 2 on bestselling album list on Amazon (only behind other Talent show star Susan Boyle’s already-released Christmas disc – The Gift which was released on November)

The video is simple and features Jackie playing with snow around a (apparently real) Christmas tree with her one year older brother, Jacob. Evancho told Seventhecho that making the video was really fun. There was a lot of snow—it was a lot of fun, especially because Jacob was there to enjoy it with me. Usually my family don’t get to come along while I’m working (yes she is already working at the age of 10).”
Jackie Evancho wanted to do the music video for “Silent Night” because it’s one of her favorite tunes on the album – “O Holy Night”. “O Holy Night’ is a very beautiful song, and it’s my favorite Christmas song to sing. I sing it a lot around the house, and I just like that song a lot.” And this explains the name of the album.
Considering she made a whole album about it, Christmas—and everything that goes with it—is very important to the classical crossover singer. “We do whatever normal kid does on Christmas,” Jackie says of her family’s Christmas holiday traditions. “We try to sneak a peek of Santa, we go to our Grandparents house, have holiday dinner, and then go to bed and wait for Santa to come.” What’s Jackie hoping Santa brings her this year? You might be surprised (at least we are). “I want these vampire fangs,” Jackie reveals. “I’m really into vampires (because of the popular movie). You put them in your mouth. They’re small at first, but there’s a lever, and when you push the lever with your tongue, they grow bigger,” Jackie explains.

i don’t know why anyone would be surprised by j’s xmas wish list. the vampire teeth sound very neat.
i hope they come in an adult size…if not i’ll just wear them INSTEAD OF as opposed to ON TOP OF my dentures.
